This is my new favorite Kit Kat. Danny says it tastes like Russian vanilla wafers which you can pick up at Starskys in Mississauga. I like how it tells you how many calories is in each one. I only ate one. Danny ate 2.

Every week, I will bring you one review on a different flavoured kit kat brought to me by my favorite cousins in Japan.

Today we have Cookies+
Danny's review "This is a scam, you are supposed to get 4 bars but you only get 2. I'm not feeling it. It's not chocolatey enough. There is an attempt to crush an oreo inside."
I think Danny was just bitter since he did not get to eat the strawberry kitkat after this one because I said "one a week."

Monday: I met up with Carrie after work to finally get her a library card. I was so happy that we found a DVD she hasn't seen before and I also managed to pick up a buttload of books. She gave me two St.Patrick day cookies which I will eat on the plane to Seattle this weekend. Just a little something to look forward to.

Tuesday: After Yoga, my teacher mentioned that her computer was acting super slow. Another one of my neighbours offered to help her with it for a glass of wine. Since we had a small class that night, she invited everyone up to her apartment.
We stayed for 3 hours chatting about everything. I learned quite a lot about saving your life during an emergency and also about the different suites in my condo. One of the more interesting topics we discussed was the fact that most people don't really know their neighbours. In my mother's neighbourhood, everyone seems to know about everyone's business. While in my condominium, I don't know the people to my left or my right. However I do know a few people on my floor. I did learn about one particular friendly neighbour that brought food to one of the ladies in my class when she was doing renovations in her kitchen. So from now on, I will try to run into my neighbours to the left and right just to get to know them a little.

Wednesday: I went to a Manju Workshop at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre. I left after 2 hours even though that class was 3 hours long. I just didn't feel like making anything. We learned how to make Dorayaki, Ohagi, Azuki, Kinako Mochi, Mochi Manju and Lima bean filling, the fast and easy way. The only thing I was a fan of was the Dorayaki, however it can't be made properly without this special pan that the sensei doesn't know where you can buy since the company he bought it from went out of business.

Thursday: I have my Japanese lesson in a house with a broken furnace. That's what the email my Japanese sensei sent said. So I can wear my coat in her house. I have a renewed interest in Kanji. I downloaded a slew of Kanji programs for my nintendo DS also I'm starting Kanji A Day note pad and I just received my package of 500 Kanji cards from White Rabbit Express. I am SET!

Last Pole Fitness

Last night was my final pole fitness class. I learned a lot in my 8 classes. My arms are a lot stronger now. I can hold myself for a while on the pole, something I could not do prior to the class. I was a little surprised that during the last hour of class, some of my classmates were putting on high heels and taking pictures of themselves on the poles. My class comprised itself of 2 sets of groups which are friends. So, they were all taking class photos. This was probably the only time that I wished that I had a friend come with me to class since it was awkward. I just left the class and thought about the next class I am going to take in my car.

Since I am trying to stay away from restaurants and trying to lose weight, I figured I'd start a dinner blog of the dinners Danny makes for me.

I had this for dinner. It's Japanese curry with mushrooms and onions. The thing on the right is lentils. I think Danny found them in a can in the cupboard and made some kind of dry curry to mix in. It was surprisingly very delicious.

I had this yesterday. Toasted rye bread with homemade bruschetta.

The best thing on this plate was the sweet mashed potatoes. I mixed them with my mushrooms and spinach since I wasn't a fan of them. The chicken strip was dry, but that's ok. We were trying to clear out our freezer. Also, it was made with love :)

The Sunshine Coast

So I just got the news not long ago. I'll be going to The University of Sunshine Coast near Brisbane as of February 2010. The plan is to get my teaching certificate while experiencing the lax lifestyle those Aussies seem to all enjoy. I just wanted to share this great news among friends and family. I miss you all and wish you all the best.

And if you're wondering how much is it going to cost. Well, let's just put it this way it's going to be a 1-year vacation.

On another note, I was organizing my bookmarks and came across this site. So, if you're bored and would like to check out cool tips on how to save money. I thought you might find this to be quite helpful. I read about this site in a book about money management. The author was a news anchor from CTV although I can't remember it right now.
