sure it looks pretty, but it HURT to get it. Danny, Danielle and I went to the salon at Bathurst & Finch. When I first put my feet in the bath it was scalding hot, which later nearly caused me to faint. My sister showed concern, but Danny thought I was acting up. SURE! I don't recommend this place because when they did Danny's nails it caused him to bleed a lot. They didn't do a proper job, perhaps because they weren't used to guy's coming in for manis. She did his manicure while he was standing up, while Danielle and I got to sit down for our manis.

This baby is incredibly cute. i am still shocked that he was inside Julie's stomach.
Shaun called me at 11am while i was at Hide's getting some work done on Danny's car. We headed down to Mount Sinai immediately. As the hospital's waiting room was so tiny and we couldn't get a hold of Shaun, we had lunch in Kensington Market. We got a call around 2pm and poor Julie was still in labour. She was in labour since 11pm the night before. In the end, she had a c-section and Keegan arrived at 8:30pm.

This is an old photo of my TV, not that it changed much

I figured I should probably let the world know that life exists without cable. I am living proof. When I tell people I don't have it I always get the same response "How can you live?" Danny always gets "well, I'm not coming over then."
I don't really understand his friends because what would be the point of coming over to visit you with the expectation of sitting in front of a rectangle [HD] showing images.
I do have a TV after all. I'm not limited because I don't have cable. I personally think I have something better than cable, Free HD over the air. Of course, I'm limited to the channels shown but I don't want to be wasting time searching for something to watch.

So How Can I live without cable?

First I'd like to say that I used to say the same thing to my Aunt and Rashelle. They have been living sans cable much longer than myself. At first, I went through withdrawal, but then I realized I only watched two shows anyways and I would download the latest episodes. I think it affected Danny more since he would stay up late watching TV. It didn't affect me so much because I didn't watch TV while living in Japan because it was hard to tell the difference between the shows and the commercials, plus there was a language barrier. I became accustomed to life without cable for one year prior to losing cable 2 years ago. Yes, it's been 2 years since I haven't had cable. I still use my TV once in a while. I have a PS3 in which I use to watch movies or shows. I go to the library and borrow DVDs. I watch CBC occasionally.

What do I do instead?

I found that without cable, I don't feel like a drone. I grew up on cable TV. I had a journal in which I wrote a schedule with the best shows from the time I got home from school to the time I went to bed.  Last month, I wasn't feeling well and I stayed home from work. I sat and watched TV for the whole entire day. THE WHOLE ENTIRE DAY. When Danny came home and asked me what I did all day. I felt so lazy and confessed. I felt bad.

I usually clean, do dishes, read a book/magazine, sleep, hang out with my cat, go to the gym, go swimming, cook with Danny and play the wii. I asked Danny what we've been doing instead of watching TV together and his first response was talk.
I noticed that he's actually doing homework and getting things done around the place. So I feel like I've been granted the gift of time. If you ever find that you don't have the time to do stuff, you may want to cut out sitting in front of the boob tube :)

I had the authentic pad thai. It was wrapped in an egg crepe. It was very delicious. Danny and I were both turned off in the description of the regular pad thai because it said ketchup sauce. Danny doesn't remember what he ordered.

It was one fatty night!

Although, i split my dish right away by carrying take out containers. It could have been a more fatty evening.
The 2nd cake, we ordered I took home with me. You are probably wondering, why did you order a 2nd cake? well for both dinner and dessert places I had coupons for buy one get one free from the Entertainment book.

Sunday Morning, we drove up to Barrie to go to the outdoor  spa



i never got a chance to sit in the hammock :(
it rained quite a bit and soaked them, so the staff removed them.
However, I did get a chance to dip in the cool pool. I would not have done that in the winter.



I had a craving for delicious shwarma as my friend Julie confessed this weekend that she never had it before. I must take her to Montfort one day.
